Progress at last

After a long period of relative inactivity due to some life issues, I think I am finally back on track. I spent the whole day writing a first draft of chapter 1 and I'm probably one hour 's work away from shipping the first rough draft to Dr. Gorriaran.

What I've run in to so far is that there is just too much"stuff"! Limiting the scope of the dissertation, and particularly of the literature review, is and will continue to be, a challenge. I always like to run those rabbits to ground! ;-) While having a research project that solves world hunger, and uncovers the "Theory of Everything" would be nice, it really is not realistic. This is when it would be nice to have someone looking over my shoulder saying "WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?"
